The best way to beat the heat in Brentwood’s summer sun is to splash the day away in the refreshing sprinkles of a splash pad. Dolphin Park, located at 2325 Atterbury lane, in Brentwood CA, is one of Brentwood newest parks with a water feature. It is a perfect stop for hot days when you are out exploring your local backroads.
Dolphin Park Amenities
Kids of all ages will enjoy zipping through the brightly colored dolphins and sea-themed water features. The splash pad is surrounded by shaded tables for snacks and picnics and park benches for resting. This allows parents of young children to keep a close eye on their kids without having to leave the comfort of the shade.
The park also features a full restroom facility. This means days at the park can be extended with regularly maintained and stocked restrooms. It is also worth recognizing that these restroom facilities are ADA complaint – which is important for accessibility.
Kids who are not interested in the water feature can climb one of Brentwood’s tallest play structures. It is fully enclosed for safe climbing but offers children the option of 2 tall tube slides for quick descents. The structure also offers a full variety of play structure obstacles for climbing, swinging and jumping.
The park also showcases a beautiful grassy field that is large enough to play a game of catch or frisbee – even soccer! It also is expansive enough to allow kids to play on the structure or in the water without concern for flying balls.
A Well-Kept Secret
Dolphin Park is one of Brentwood’s best-kept secrets when it comes to pure fun and keeping cool in the summer. The water play features run from 10 am to 7 pm from April 1- October 31. It is hidden within a handsome community of homes with plentiful parking. We recommend being mindful of the homeowners in the surrounding homes. It is also important to take the care to clean up the park of any litter that you may have left. Our parks will only stay as welcoming and inviting as we leave them.
Make sure you schedule a visit to Dolphin Park while you’re exploring our Featured Parks on Local Backroads.
