A Touch of Joy to Brighten the Day From Ribbons and Roses

When we spoke with Diane O’Brien over the current “Safe At Home” recommendations, she mentioned how sad she was to close her quaint flower shop down. Flowers have a unique way of being the silver-lining on a hard day, the cherry-on-top of a celebration, and a sincere approach to let someone know you are thinking about them. As the community has suffered significant setbacks, she noted that the smile a flower could bring someone could make a bad day, good.

With medical professionals, retailers, and other essential workers dedicating hours to ensure the continued health and well-being of our community, the gesture of a small flower arrangement to say “thank you” does not go unnoticed. For those families who are separated, for people living alone, or just for the simple reason you’d like to bring some color into your home, a flower arrangement is a simple, yet powerful way of keeping in touch.

Diane mentioned her doors must remain closed to the public. However, she is taking online orders and phone orders to help bring a bit of joy, color, and grace to people who could use a smile. Not only will Diane offer a beautiful array of flower bouquets, but her delivery team can also ensure safe delivery, following the guidelines as outlined for Social Distancing, by the CDC and the Contra Costa Health Service. The doors may be closed, but she is busy at work designing smiles and happiness through flowers.

Diane is also excited to introduce her “Belated Bouquet” to the community. The Belated Bouquet is designed specifically to help you celebrate weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, or other celebrations that may have passed during our shelter-in-place mandate. The Belated Bouquet creates an opportunity for you to send a playful arrangement of gorgeous flowers to let someone know you didn’t miss their celebration – you were just late to the party!

A Bit About Ribbons and Roses Flowers

Ribbons and Roses Flowers has been in business, in the Historic Downtown Brentwood Corridor since 1991. In 2007, Diane took over the small shop and gave it a complete face-lift. Diane is dedicated to creating quality, hand-crafted arrangements with custom flourish added to each customer’s design. Each piece she delivers is a one-of-a-kind piece that will invoke smiles, joy, and a sense of appreciation.

How to Order During The Stay-At-Home Mandate

While business remains restricted, there are several ways you can order from Ribbons and Roses Flowers. First, pick your favorite arrangement. Because inventory is limited, Diane has designed several gorgeous options from which you can choose. She will happily upgrade any of the designs and will customize them to order as well.
